Beginning in January 2019, the United Way of Addison County will once again be offering a free program to help you file your taxes! It’s a great way to potentially save some extra money after the holidays by avoiding tax preparation fees. My Free Taxes appointments will be available starting in January 2018.

The United Way is a partner with, a tax preparation website that allows filers who made less than $66,000 to file online anytime, anywhere for free. Filers needing extra assistance may also make an appointment with the United Way of Addison County at our office at 48 Court Street, Middlebury, VT by calling Vermont 211 (dial 211 select option #5). RSVP will have AARP-trained and certified volunteers available to prepare state and federal income tax returns and answer tax questions for low-and middle-income residents of Addison County. Special attention will be given to those ages 60 and older. To make an appointment for this program call 388-7044.
