MADAILA ON THE MOUNTAIN
THE EVENT OF THE FALL CELEBRATING UNITED WAY’S 50 YEARS IN ADDISON COUNTY
Saturday, October 7, 2017; 1:00-5:00 PM
Middlebury College Snow Bowl, 6886 VT-125, Hancock, VT 05748

Rock Middlebury’s Snow Bowl like never before! Presented by United Way of Addison County and Middlebury UndergrounD (MUD), Madaila on the Mountain is a celebration of our local United
Way’s 50 years of service and commitment to funding programs that enrich the lives of people who live and work in Addison County. This extraordinary premier event features Vermont’s
acclaimed pop band Madaila, who has Middlebury College and Addison County roots; celebrated local youth bands; food trucks; fall foliage chair lift rides; wine and craft beer courtesy of Two
Brothers Tavern; kids activities; and many other surprises for all ages. This ticketed, familyfriendly event is a fundraiser for UWAC.

“The United Way is woven into the fabric of life in Addison County. The people who have taken leadership roles in the UWAC over the years have demonstrated keen awareness and foresight in
adapting to changing social service needs as our community has grown. The organization has surely earned the wide support it enjoys.” Ann Ross, Co-Founder

For 50 years, United Way of Addison County has made a lasting difference, thanks in large part to its strategic partners who share UWAC’s community-focused vision. For example, for its Heroin
Epidemic Learning Program (H.E.L.P.), UWAC partnered with law enforcement, the medical community, schools including both educators and students, and the state of Vermont to educate
young people in Addison County about the dangers and realities of substance abuse, an issue that is of great concern to all Vermonters. This is just one example of many collaborations happening
every day as UWAC partners with local organizations who provide health care, food, shelter, and a myriad of other services right here in our own backyard.
